Extracurricular Activities

My role was to represent the CSSA and the Computer Science student body at large in communication with the Department of Computer Science, during which we managed to accomplish the best relations and most involvement the CSSA had with the Department in years. I also founded the Student Resources committee, which produces guides that helps hundreds of first- and second-year students every year.

• • Authored two editions of the First Year Guide and Second Year Guide, earning 1,500+ visitors to the club's website
• • Developed a native guide display component on the website, overcoming limitations of a paged document format
• • Established the Student Resources committee to develop more resources in the future
• • Addressed 100+ aspiring students and parents' inquiries about Computer science across four Open House events
• • Advocated for student interests in 5+ department meetings and curriculum discussions
• • Coordinated executive teams in moderating 2,000+ individuals in the Computer Science Student Discord
• • Advocated for equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure comfort for every student in CSSA spaces
• • Promoted and compiled 20+ student job postings onto the Discord
• • Represented the undergraduate perspective in 10+ interviews and seminars of instructor candidates
